It’s never too early to start planning for the holidays! My 2026 Christmas mini sessions in Pittsburgh are officially open for booking, with two studio dates and two beautiful locations to choose from this November.

This year, I’ll be offering Pittsburgh holiday mini sessions at East End Loft in Pittsburgh and The Valley Collective Studio in Munhall. Both studios offer gorgeous Christmas setups and plenty of variety, making these sessions perfect for families, couples, babies, maternity portraits, and updated photos for your Christmas cards.

Both Christmas mini session locations near Pittsburgh are indoor studios, so there’s no worrying about cold temperatures, rain, wind, or unpredictable November weather.

What’s Included in Your Christmas Mini Session?

Each 2026 Pittsburgh Christmas mini session is $240 + tax and includes:

• 20-minute photography session
• All of the best edited images
• A minimum of 35 edited photos, although galleries will likely include many more
• Private online gallery
• Print release and social media sharing rights
• Access to my professional print store

A $120 non-refundable retainer + tax is due when you sign your contract to officially reserve your session time. The remaining $120 + tax is due two weeks before your session.

I love being able to deliver more than just a handful of images from mini sessions. Even though we’re working within 20 minutes, I move quickly and use the variety available in each studio to give you a full gallery of different poses, combinations, details, and candid moments.

November 15: Christmas Minis at East End Loft – Luxe Loft

My first Pittsburgh Christmas mini sessions of 2026 will take place on Sunday, November 15 at East End Loft’s Luxe Loft, located at 201 N Braddock Ave in Pittsburgh.

Luxe Loft will feature a beautiful Glistening Pine Christmas setup with a green velvet couch, two Christmas trees, presents, a rocking horse, and elegant glass details. The overall look is festive while still feeling sophisticated and timeless.

This is a beautiful option if you want classic Christmas photos without an overly themed or colorful backdrop.

One of my favorite things about Luxe Loft is that we aren’t limited to the Christmas setup! The studio also has a white infinity wall and black shiplap wall, giving us the opportunity to create neutral, non-holiday portraits during your session.

That means you can leave with traditional Christmas photos as well as updated family portraits that can stay on your walls year-round.

You can even book one of these time slots for a non-Christmas milestone session. The neutral studio spaces work beautifully for:

• Updated family photos
• Maternity portraits
• Babies and milestone sessions
• Couples
• Children’s portraits
• Simple, classic family photos

November 21: Christmas Minis at The Valley Collective Studio

On Saturday, November 21, I’ll be back at one of my favorite holiday locations: The Valley Collective Studio in Munhall, PA.

The Valley Collective is an especially fun choice for families who want lots of variety in their Christmas mini session gallery because the studio features several completely different holiday spaces.

This year’s Christmas setups include:

• Two cozy holiday living room scenes
• A fully decorated Christmas kitchen
• A styled Christmas bed setup
• Additional holiday backdrops and decorated areas

With so many different spaces available, we can create several different looks within your 20-minute session without ever leaving the studio.

Instead of every image having the exact same backdrop, your final gallery can include a mixture of cozy family photos, portraits of the kids, candid moments, and different holiday scenes.

Baby’s First Christmas Photos in Pittsburgh

The Valley Collective is also one of my favorite choices for families celebrating a baby’s first Christmas.

The studio features a beautifully styled crib and bassinet that can be incorporated into your session, giving us the opportunity to capture some extra-special Christmas portraits of your newest family member.

Your baby’s first holiday season only happens once, and these sessions are an easy way to document it while also getting updated photos of your entire family.

You really can’t go wrong with either studio! The biggest difference is the overall look and amount of variety each space provides.

Choose East End Loft – Luxe Loft if you love: an elegant Christmas look, green velvet, Christmas trees, glistening pine, neutral portraits, and the option to use the white infinity or black shiplap walls.

Choose The Valley Collective if you love: lots of different Christmas scenes, cozy lifestyle setups, a Christmas kitchen, bedroom setup, or the opportunity to incorporate a crib or bassinet for baby’s first Christmas.

Both locations are indoors and professionally decorated, and both sessions include a large edited gallery rather than limiting you to only a few selected images.

What Can We Use Our Christmas Mini Session Photos For?

Christmas mini sessions are obviously perfect for holiday cards, but that’s only the beginning!

Families use their images for framed prints, photo books, ornaments, gifts for grandparents, calendars, social media, and updated artwork around their homes.

And because I focus on creating a mixture of posed portraits and natural interactions, you’ll have plenty of images that feel like your family—not just one perfectly posed Christmas card photo.

What Should We Wear for Christmas Mini Sessions?

You don’t necessarily need to dress everyone in traditional red and green for your holiday photos.

Cream, tan, brown, beige, black, denim, deep green, burgundy, and other rich neutrals photograph beautifully in Christmas studio settings. Coordinating colors and textures usually photographs better than putting everyone in identical outfits.

Most importantly, choose clothing that feels like your family and that everyone—especially little ones—can comfortably move around in.

When Should I Book Christmas Mini Sessions in Pittsburgh?

Earlier is always better!

Christmas mini sessions are offered on limited dates because I photograph multiple families back-to-back in a reserved studio. Once a particular time slot is booked, I can’t offer that same time to another family.

November sessions also give us plenty of time to photograph your family, edit and deliver your gallery, and allow you to order Christmas cards, prints, and gifts before the holidays.
